Who we are

AI Proofwork is a trading name of Adam Chandoo, a sole trader based in London, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described here.

Information we hold

People we contact about our services. Your name, job title, business email address and the organisation you work for, together with publicly available information about that organisation. We collect this from the Companies House register, your organisation's own website and public business directories.

People who contact us. Whatever you choose to send us by email, usually your name, email address, organisation and message.

Clients. Contact details for the people we work with, and the information we need to deliver and invoice an engagement.

Website visitors. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

Why we hold it

To offer our services to businesses that may benefit from them. We rely on our legitimate interest in doing so. We send one email and at most one follow-up, and we stop as soon as you ask.

To reply to enquiries and to discuss possible work with you, relying on our legitimate interest and on taking steps you ask for before entering into a contract.

To deliver and invoice work for clients, relying on our contract with you and on our legal obligation to keep accounting records.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Service providers process it on our behalf: our website host, Vercel, and our email provider. Some of them may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Outreach records are deleted 12 months after our last contact with you, unless we are in an ongoing conversation.

If you ask us not to contact you, we delete your details but keep your email address and organisation on a do-not-contact list, so that we never contact you again.

Client records are kept for six years after an engagement ends, for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it, and object to how we use it. You can object to being contacted about our services at any time, and we will stop.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
